Who Are The Greater Harris County Democrats?
In the last two days, there has been much cyber buzz concerning an organization called Greater Harris County Democrats, not to be confused with the Harris County Democrats. Greater Harris County Democrats has, within the last few days, started a website and released a lengthy slate of candidate endorsements. The majority of the endorsements track the endorsements of numerous other groups in Harris County and across the state fairly closely, except these: KEVIN BAILEY – State Representative, District 140 AL EDWARDS – State Representative, District 146 JOSE MEDRANO – State Representative, District 148 Most groups have stayed out of HD 146 because nobody likes Edwards, the “Craddick D,” and it isn’t the right time to endorse Borris Miles. Most groups, including the Harris County Democrats, have endorsed Armando Walle in HD 140. And, in HD 148, almost no one has endorsed Jose Medrano.
