Who are the Field Observers? What type of support do they provide?
Like Seminar Leaders, Field Observers are experienced, fully certified teachers, most of whom have taught in our partner districts and all of whom have demonstrated a record of success in the classroom. They also go through an rigorous hiring process and are given a full training on conducting effective observations and providing feedback for new teachers that will have a positive impact on their work. Field Observers will visit your classroom three or more times per year. They work to provide you with direct feedback on your work in the classroom. This feedback is shared with corps members, principals and TFA Program Directors, who also share their observations with TTF to ensure that all support systems are working together for your success. FOs are there to offer their expertise and guidance. They will give you the opportunity to share questions and concerns that you have about your teaching prior to observations so that your needs, as well as those of your students, are met.
