WHO ARE THE FBI NATIONAL ACADEMY ASSOCIATES?
The FBI National Academy Associates, Inc. is a non-profit international organization of senior law enforcement professionals dedicated to providing our communities and profession with the highest degree of law enforcement expertise, training, education and information. From its inception in 1935 by FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, the FBI National Academy has long been a vital element in fostering improvement of law enforcement standards, knowledge and cooperation throughout the world. The National Academy and the FBI’s ‘Field Police Training Program’ provide a wide range of leadership and specialized training, as well as an opportunity for professional law enforcement officials to share ideas, techniques, and experience. In 1980, the FBI National Academy celebrated its first 50 years. Upon reflection, the institution saw value in the development of quarterly classes consisting of 10 weeks of training for upper and mid-level law enforcement personnel. The curriculum focuses on leadership
