WHO ARE THE DIRECTORS AND HOW DO THEY CHOOSE STAFF?
Danny Metzger, Jay Toporoff and Jed Dorfman have been the directors of America’s Camp since its inception in 2002. Andy Cole is the executive director, coordinating camp operations and working with families in preparation for the summer. The directors have many years of experience operating some of the finest camps in the country, and have been actively involved in the American Camping Association. America’s Camp staff includes talented, mature professionals who have enthusiastically volunteered to participate in this camp experience. Trained grief support facilitators, chaplains, teachers, doctors, nurses, coaches, directors, program specialists and a caring general counselor staff comprise the America’s Camp team. They have all been personally interviewed and carefully screened with background and reference checks. Our staff members are selected for their dedication to children.
