Directors: The DAWGs Director is a student position that coordinates move-in for the five thousand students who will be coming to campus in the autumn. The Director is responsible for the training of the DAWGs and oversees the DAWGs Coordinators and Volunteers throughout the two-day move in process. This years DAWGs Directors are Conor McLean and Margaret Erickson. Coordinators: DAWGs Coordinators are selected by the DAWGs Director and the Coordinator for Leadership and Programming each spring. Coordinators are responsible for the direct supervision of 20-30 Volunteers and must maintain order and calm during the opening weekend rush. Coordinators work to build a team environment, and resolve conflicts with Volunteers, new students, and frustrated parents, in addition to coordinating resources such as carts and elevators. Coordinators work long hours during Opening, but they are rewarded with moving in early, free meals, and working with an amazing group of people. In addition to the 17

The Dawgs Swim Team began over 25 years ago as a local YMCA Masters team. Throughout the years they have grown in size, experienced changes in their practice venues, witnessed acquisitions of new pools and have combined with other masters teams. These events have helped place the team in rare company in Colorado. They are currently one of the few teams that swim in a 50-meter pool year round and are consistently one of the top 10 teams at the seasonal state meets. Present and past swimmers have held masters swimming state, national, and world records in several events. Best of all they have become a group that welcomes newcomers, supports each other in achieving their goals and loves having a great time together. The team and coaches welcome any swimmer, over the age of 19 to come and join for a practice or meet.
