Who are the Approved Critics?
The Approved Critics are critics that fit within a set of standards: (1) they are from accredited media outlets that are well-regarded in the industry; (2) they seem to produce quality reviews (or, if not, are so influential in the industry that they necessitate inclusion); and (3) they have a good quantity of reviews. We use the same list of critics to evaluate each album. This way, we can insure that the percentage is consistent and unbiased. For the sake of space and neatness we do not list all the reviews from the publications that make up each Just Music Approval %, instead choosing to feature one review that we feel well represents the consensus. At some point in the future we may choose to list all reviews that are part of the JMA%, but for now, enjoy the uncluttered layout.
