Who are Sure Start Hounslow?
Sure Start Hounslow is a government funded initiative, limited by guarantee with charitable status. Sure Start aims to work in partnership with parents to be, parents/carers and children to promote the physical, intellectual and social development of babies and children so that they can flourish at home and when they get to school, therefore, improving their life chances. Sure Start aims to transform the lives of families and young children by improving the range of services, activities and opportunities in the Hounslow area. They run a variety of different services for parents and children aged 0-5 years old delivered through different service providers. These are both voluntary and statutory organisations, working in partnership across the area. The construction of a new community building finished in 2006. After consultation with user groups in the area, the centre is now called The Hub, which is shared between three agencies, Sure Start Hounslow, the Youth Service and Library Servi
