A. Fuel cells have received tremendous attention in the last few years, and the trend is increasing exponentially. Virtually any entity with interest in energy production, use, and resources is involved in fuel cell research, design, and practical application. This includes federal, state and local government agencies (environmental protection agencies, departments of air quality, Department of Energy, Department of Defense, departments of transportation, etc.); the transportation industry; utilities; the petrochemical industry; academicians and basic and applied scientists; health policy agencies; public interest groups; and manufacturers of any number of related products from cars, to batteries, to home generators, and almost any other energy related product.
