Who are some living people today who show civic virtue?
Good question. It is probably easier to find examples of such people at the local level, like in your town or city, because they don’t tend to make news at the national level. Maybe Bill Gates and Warren Buffet who are giving millions of dollar to charity for the benefit of ordinary people. Maybe mayor Blumburg of NY City who has the courage to defend the right of muslims to build a mosque near the 9-11 site. Maybe all those doctors who participate in the free clinics to help the people without medical insurance. Or all the people who volunteer their time for teaching illiterate adults to read or the ones who volunteer to work in the hospitals. There must be many more, but you don’t hear much about them.
