Who are some famous electric guitar players?
Eric Clapton- was inspired by American blues, mainly Delta (Robert Johnson) at first. His early style was highly blues influenced, but he has been a popular music star, rock star, blues god, and just about any category in the popular music boat. Ooh I know he started playing when he was 15 or 16 I believe. Jimi Hendrix….don’t really know when he started, but I think at a rather young age, and he was highly influenced by many different styles of music…ironically enough nearly anyone I consider “good” was somehow or someway influenced by the blues. Jimmy Page…also started playing at a young age. For a while, he abandoned guitar in favor of painting, but ended up, of course, coming back to the guitar. Was influenced by the blues, and a lot country/western, more folky stuff too.
