POSC is the Petrotechical Open Software Company, a non-profit corporation dedicated to open data standards and interoperability in the oil and gas business. They distribute a geodetic model and encoding system which is international in scope, hierarchical in structure and inclusive of many cartographic options and variables. The geodesy system and tables are created and supported by the European Petrotechnical Survey Group (EPSG).
