NCU are a long established (since 1989) Credit Union run by our volunteer members. Like all Credit Unions, we are regulated by The Financial Services Authority. We celebrate 20 years of serving Norwich residents in September 2009. During this time our members have borrowed nearly 500,000. We offer ethical savings and low cost loans to Norwich residents as a real and low cost alternative to high interest loans. Any surplus generated by our loans is re-invested and paid to all of our members as a dividend. With NCU you can • Save the amount you can afford, when you can afford it • Be eligible for a low cost loans after saving with us for 13 weeks NCU only charge 1% per month on the unpaid loan balance (APR of 12.68%) so, for every 100 paid back in 1 year, total interest is just 6.50. Loans are available to members who have saved regularly for thirteen weeks, normally up to three times the amount of savings, repayable over a period agreed to suit your circumstances.
