Kenickie is the name of an indie band hailing from Sunderland in North East England. The band was formed by Marie Du Santiago, Lauren Laverne, and Emmy-Kate Montrose back in 1994. The three girls needed a drummer to complete the band line-up and so Pete Gofton, Lauren’s older brother, joined the band to complete the set-up.
