The team is directed by Thomas J. Balkany, M.D., FACS, FAAP and Annelle V. Hodges, Ph.D., CCC-A, FAAA. Other surgeons include Fred F. Telischi, M.E.E., M.D., FACS, (Director of the University of Miami Ear Institute), Simon Angeli, M.D., and Adrien Eshraghi, M.D. Cochlear Audiologists include Sandra L. Velandia, Au.D; Adam S. Norris, Au.D.; and Diane Martinez, Au.D. Rehabilitation is led by Kathy Bricker, MA, CCC-A, AVT-Cert., and Alina Lopez, MA, CCC-SLP AVT-Cert. The cochlear implant research team is led by Thomas Van De Water, Ph.D. Research scientists include Jiao He, M.D., and Cai Hong Moo, M.D.. Please see the section on implant team.
