Who are Edwards Eco Building?
Edwards Eco Building is a company based in Cromer in North Norfolk. Kate Edwards founded the company in 2005. Kate previously trained as a sculptor at Camberwell Art College, London. After graduating from Camberwell in 1991 she directed her skills into interior design running her own business ‘Devastating Designs’ in London for many years. Interior design then developed into building as Devastating Designs took on more and more building work and started doing house renovations. Kate has always been passionate about the environment and was looking into more sustainable ways of working when she discovered cob. After training in cob building with Ianto Evans and Linda Smiley in Ireland, she bought back her skills to England. Kate’s unique combination of knowledge in sculpture and building means she and her team create buildings that are ultimately works or art as well as functioning, environmentally friendly structures.
