Who are Comcast and why would they be port scanning?

0

http://www.comcast.com/default.cspx Comcast is a large cable, phone and internet provider that services a LOT of the East Coast. If you seen them port scanning it is likely that you have opened a site hosted on their servers, that is attempting to access your computer via applications or even just simply to add a user or password cookie into your files. If you had no pages open and no programs running (which means you would have to have nothing that runs on your start up as well) then it would be time to worry about a hack. Chances are you were logging in, or opening a site that had some type of active x control when you got the hit on your port scanner. If you are worried about hacks do some research on the most common ports that hackers use, that way when you see the hit on your ports you can pay attention to the port its trying to enter on. Some ports you should NEVER accept an active x or even a cookie from.

What is your question?

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
