Who are Charlie and Lola?
Fans of Charlie and Lola are familiar with Charlie saying at the beginning of each show “I have this little sister, Lola. She is small and very funny.” Charlie, age 7, is of course referring to his sister Lola, age 3. Charlie is a constant source of imagination and and help to Lola who is often in need of Charlie’s help. With Charlie’s caring loving attitude he is able to help Lola overcome her fears when she is frightened of getting her hair cut, starting school, or drinking milk. When Lola wants it to snow every day, Charlie takes her on an imaginary trip to the North and South Poles. With Charlie’s creativity and help, Lola chooses another library book when the book she loves is not available. Through entertaining imaginery stories, Charlie always helps make Lola feel better.
