Who are Certified Athletic Trainers at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs?
Certified Athletic Trainers are allied health care professionals that are nationally certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Their role delineation is to prevent, provide emergency care, evaluate, manage and rehabilitate injuries associated with athletic participation. These individuals also serve as administrative personnel in the Sports Medicine Department as well as educating and counseling student-athletes on their current injury status and possible future.
