The units reserved under Government’s Discretionary Quota shall be allotted by the Government only to the following categories:- • Unmarried woman (Single Woman) / Widow / Divorced Woman • Social Worker • Physically handicapped persons • Defence personnel & ex-service men • Senior Citizens • Distinguished person in art, science, culture, economics, administration and sports. • Freedom fighters / Language Crusaders. • State Government servants with unblemished service. • Persons working in the following institutions • Public limited concern. • Public sector under takings • Central Government. • Central Government under takings. • Journalist. • Nationalised Bank. • Nationalised Insurance. • Persons working in all universities of Tamil Nadu. • Persons working in all Boards (except TNHB) • Persons working in Local Bodies & Municipalities.
