Age Concern Blackburn with Darwen is an independent local charity which works to provide needs led services for older people and their carers. Their mission statement is ‘To work with local older people in all their diversity to identify and articulate their views, needs and choices and where appropriate, to provide high quality, flexible services.’ Their services are individually funded from a variety of different sources including a Service Level Agreement with the local authority, Trust funding and Primary Care Trust funding.
