In partnership with the Victorian Department of Education, the Catholic Education Commission Victoria and the Association ofIndependent Schools Victoria, the Victorian Schools Animal Ethics Committee (VSAEC) was established in 2005 to assist teachers in the responsible use of animals in schools whilst complying with relevant legislation. VSAEC meets at least once a term each year to review applications made by teachers for the use of animals as part of their teaching.
