Who Allows Gay Marriages and Civil Unions?
Gay marriage is a commitment between two people of the same orientation. That commitment is not legal in most states. Some states just allow civil unions. A civil union provides a gay couple rights, benefits, and responsibilities. Marriage and civil unions are not the same that’s why gay people want to fight for their marriage.The state that allows gay marriage is Massachusetts. The ones that allow civil unions are Connnecticut, New Jersey, and Vermont. Marriage is undefined in New Mexico and Rhode Island. Marriage and/or Civil Laws were proposed in Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington.
