Who administers the database security, backups, purges?
CDM products have extensive security built into them. Security comes into play when more than one person has access to the computer, or when the system is on a network where it can be accessed from anywhere within the hospital. The CDM software system has many levels of security, depending on your needs and the accessibility of your computer. Security is available in the following areas: Initial Systems Account Login Passwords, Individual User Names and Passwords, Individual User Restriction Levels, Individual Entry Screen Passwords, Individual Entry Screen Restriction Levels, Individual Menu Passwords and Individual Menu Restriction Levels. Instructions for setting up security are included with all CDM products. Your administrator, registrar, or the Coordinator at your facility is responsible for implementing the security, running backups, and archiving data.
