The county airport is now Griffiss International Airport (RME), located in Rome on the former Griffiss Air Force Base. Although there are no commercial flights, there is still a steady stream of private and business traffic. Numerous local businesses have their corporate planes based here. The old county airport (UCA) in Oriskany/Whitestown is now home to the New York State Homeland Security Training Center.
