Whipped Cream Dispensers and Chargers – What Are They and Why Use Them?
A whipped cream dispenser is a device that can whip cream. It will come in various sizes 1/4L, 1/2L & 1L. The dispenser has a whipped cream charger inserted into it, and is then filled with normal cream, when the handle is pulled the nitrous oxide gas from the cream charger whips the cream.
Whipped cream chargers (see above) are small metal type canisters about 2" long that contain N2O Nitrous Oxide under pressure. The N2O in whipped cream chargers is 100% pure food grade. The canisters come in two sizes 8 gram, the most common and 16g. The most widely available brand of these cream chargers is Liss, a Hungarian company. One cream charger will whip aproximatly 1/2L of cream.

To use a charger you first add the ingredients to your dispenser then place it into the holder on your dispenser. This will puncture a hole in the charger and release the nitrous oxide into the dispenser with your ingredients.
