Whilst viewing a video in fullscreen mode, my video controls often disappear. Where do they go?

Whilst in fullscreen mode, moving the mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen will display the video controls. If the video controls still do not appear, simply press the Escape key and then return to fullscreen mode.
