While we don’t see them all over the place, iguanas are not uncommon in the Dominican Republic Because of this, I don’t think you’ll have any more difficulty than with cats or dogs, and this involves having documents from a veterinarian attesting to proper inoculation, health, etc. Not sure exactly what? Just ask the doctor to adhere to your own country’s standards for importing an animal; that should suffice. You might want to have a translation of the documents certified at the closest Dominican Republic consulate or embassy, and also to specifically ask as to the status of iguanas.
