While trying to run a backup job after a computer crash, a message is displayed that I am trying to backup on an alternate machine. How do I continue my backups?
The IDrive application uses the Computer name, Hard Disk information and IP address to identify the computer being backed up. Operating system installation / replacement of hard disk or change of computer may also cause the mapping to be lost. If this is the case for your machine, then click on Menu > Tools> Destination PC. This will set your new computer as the destination PC.
