This is because some ISPs (Internet Service Provider) block the SMTP port service (the email sending service which uses SMTP protocol), thus preventing you from sending emails out. This is for security protection purposes; some hackers use the SMTP port service to attack the email server. so you have to call the ISP for the ‘allowed’ SMTP mail address and adjust your SMTP details under the appropriate ‘Account Setting’. You can also test your POP3 account settings using your Outlook Express. The account setting that you are using for Outlook Express will also work for my.mail.
