While on tour with Blink 182 in 2001, did Travis and you hang out alot and share tips and what not?
CYRUS: Well, let me put it to you this way. Travis is a pretty shy guy at times. I’d have to say I am shy at times, too. If you put that together, than this won’t seem as weird. Although I would say “hi” and stuff like that to him, I didn’t hang too much with Travis. I did get a lesson or two from him, though, and I’m ever grateful for those. But although I didn’t communicate with him much, just being on tour with Blink allowed me to sit there and watch Travis play. I have to say that I learned more from that than anything. With the same songs being played every night, I was able to analyze his drumming, visually, and then think of that when I would try and play along to Blink CD’s.
