whichs the best album from U2 and why?
For me, Joshua Tree hit lots of emotional buttons, so it’s hard to separate the personal appeal of that one from The Unforgettable Fire and even their earliest, Boy. I liked the maybe more naive idealism of their earlier work, tho’ it didn’t really seem to come together to make a complete package until Unforgettable Fire. I was actually doing music reviews at the time and wish I could remember the one I did on that one, but something about Eno having given them a focus that they’d somehow lacked, maybe pulling all the strong personalities together as one.
