Which zoom lens for Canon EOS digital SLR?
Look up the prices on the UK equivalent of B&H or Adorama. (Sorry that I can’t give you a name.) In addition to Canon lenses, you could look at lenses from Tamron and Sigma that have Canon mounts. All the Canon DSLRs have the same lens mount. Bear in mind that with lenses, you get what you pay for. $125 is on the low end. You won’t get a Canon zoom for that price. But Sigma and Tamron have 55-200mm zooms at around that price. They’re not pro-level lenses, but they’ll take good shots. You should also check to see what lenses she now has, as you don’t want to duplicate the focal length range.
