Which zoo is better Knowsley or Chester?
I haven’t been in Knowsley safari park since the 1970s, but you basically just drive around the park looking at the lions, baboons and other large animals. Chester Zoo, on the other hand is one of the best zoos in the country (I was there last September) and has a huge variety of different species – not so many lions (though they do have a few) but there’s a very nice leopard enclosure, and you can walk through the bat “cave” with bats flying round your head! For me, Chester wins hands down.
