In 1973 State Issue 1, the creation of the Ohio Lottery Commission, was approved by voters. The Lottery’s first game went on sale in August 1974. Sunday drawings were added on May 20, 2007. Rolling Cash 5 is now daily, while Pick 3 and Pick 4 are each drawn 14 times weekly. Ohio added a twice-daily game on August 5, 2007, called Ten-OH!, which is a Keno-like game; the first Ohio Lottery numbers games where the drawings are computerized.[1] In addition, the Cash Explosion Double Play game show returned in October 2007, replacing Make Me Famous, Make Me Rich. 1971 — Ohio State Senator Ron Mottl spearheaded a campaign to create a lottery in Ohio. 1973 — State Issue 1, the creation of the Ohio Lottery Commission, was approved by voters by better than a 2 – 1 margin. 1974 — The Lottery’s first game, Buckeye 300, went on sale in August.
