Which would be the best sewing machine?
Very difficult picking a new machine these days, the quality and reliability is just not there, I was in the sewing machine trade for over 20 years with my own shops, you would in my opinion be better off to get a good used machine either Singer or Frister and Rossmann, there are some good buys on ebay if you fancied getting one on there, get as many stitches as you can especially stretch stitch and automatic buttonholes.
