I have installed several home networks, and I highly recommend the Linksys WRT54G wireless router/hub/access point, around $50 most places. I imagine that other manufacturers have good products, too, but this one has a nearly foolproof setup wizard, and provides connections for both wired and wireless computers. It works even better if your computers have Linksys wireless NICs, but it will work with any 802.11 WiFi card.
