Which wireless network works best with AIRPAL for POS transactions?
Due to the amount of wireless systems available, and the territories that they cover, it is difficult to say one is better than another. The key feature that is required for AIRPAL to process POS transactions is the wireless systems ability to provide analog cellular service. My terminal dials a 950-xxxx number to connect to the Host Processor. My terminal works fine connected to a landline, but when connected to AIRPAL I cannot complete a transaction. Most wireless networks do not recognize the “950” exchange as being a valid dialed number. Contact your merchant service provider to see if the terminal can be programmed with an “800” number.
