Which wing of politics are kids attracted to these days?
“Kids” (children) are attracted to whichever party their parents are. Young adults tend to be more attracted to liberal ideals. But it also depends on your environment. If you live in the South, you are more likely to be a devout Christian and therefore more likely to consider yourself Republican.
I find that most of the kids in my college in the UK, have been conditioned to have more leftist ideals. Such as support for a strong welfare system, gay marriage, abortion, legalisation of drugs, secularization etc… I’m not a devout Christian, nor was I brought up in a household which preached Christian values. However, I have over recent years (I’m 18 now) found that I hold Christian values close to my heart for some reason, which has made my college years… rich in debate to say the least, even with my teachers in some cases. At the end of the day though, we all get along. I would say most young people these days are attracted to the left, but there are exceptions, and I guess I’m one of them.
