Which wedding cake?

I prefer the first cake. But I’m not a fan of the shells or dots on the bottom edge of each tier. I would totally go for red velvet since it’s yummy. It’s chocolate so most people love it. You can always have a different flavor on another tier for those who don’t like chocolate or who may be allergic.

I think cake 3 is very elegant and look more like a wedding cake to me than the other 3. Good luck with everything.

How about using the fall leaves from no. 1 in combination with the flowers used to top no. 3…..I am not a big fan of the ribbon wrap in such dark tones…..looks too masculine…but I think the combination of the flower topper and leaves accented with the flowers down the sides might be nice…and something that is your own and not a carbon copy of someone else’s cake. And red velvet cake is awesome….. also a truly talented decorator can give you the look of fondant in buttercream without the cost or the yuck…it tastes like elmers glue mixed with sugar factor of the fondant. Also only the top of the fondant hardents, the “frosting” underneath is still fondant….not hardened. …and I think still yuckky. But it’s all a matter of taste….I’m sure you’ll make the right decision… Best of luck with the wedding…don’t sweat the small stuff…not everything needs to be perfect….life is messy and marriage even messier!
