Your best bet is to ask around other people who were on your course with you. Or the University may be prepared to forward a letter – give them a call. If you knew where his parents lived, try their address/number, as people in their 40’s and 50’s don’t move around as often as young people. On the net, which personally I wouldn’t use as my first resort, first of all try typing his name in quotes into a few search engines, to see what comes up. Then go onto sites such as Friends Reunited and search there – try his old school as well as the University. You will have to pay, though, to actually get in touch with him if you do find him.
