MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) 2009: Live Blog If you are going to be sitting in tonight doing nothing, you might be interested to know that the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards takes place tonight in NYC. We have found a website which will live blog the whole event as it happens live. As reported from PopWatch, this years VMAs will take place at the Radio City Music Hall and will be broadcast at 8PM (ET). As with last year’s awards, it will be hosted by British comedian Russel Brand, who will be providing his usual bout of entertainment. The show will kick off with Janet Jackson paying tribute to her brother Michael. This will include performance tributes, as well as the trailer premiere for the upcoming ‘This Is It’ tour documentary.
