Which water efficient products are approved during Georgia Sales Tax Holiday?
The Georgia Sales Tax Holiday will waive all state and local sales and use taxes on WaterSense products priced under $1,500 and intended for noncommercial home and personal use. To find a complete list of WaterSense labeled toilets and faucets, visit the WaterSense website at http://www.epa.gov/watersense/pp/lists.htm. 2) What happens if I purchase an item greater than $1,500? Items more than $1,500 are not eligible for the sales tax holiday, even for the first $1,500. 3) Who can take advantage of the sales tax holiday? Individuals purchasing products for personal and non-commercial use are eligible to receive the sales exemption. The tax exemption does not apply to items purchased for trade, business or resale. 4) What should I do if I am charged sales tax on my purchase? Individuals purchasing eligible products for personal, non-commercial use should not be charged any state or local sales and use taxes for products costing $1,500 or less.
