Which was the greater invention the internal combustion engine or the internet?
They are very similar in their impact to the economy, to culture and society, and to everyday life. I say Internet, just because we still have yet to reach the full scope of its influence, while the combustion engine will very likely be replaced in the near future by something that does not contribute so much to carbon pollution.
