Which version of Visio is better i.e. Visio 2010, 2007 or 2003?
Always the new version is better compared to previous one. The new version of Visio i.e. Visio 2010 comes with many new features as compared to its previous version which is 2007 & 2003. Some of the features which are there in Visio 2010 and not in previous versions are: 1) Live Preview 2) Auto align & space 3) Containers – It helps to keep large diagrams organized and understandable 4) Quick shapes stencils 5) SharePoint Workflow template 6) Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) Template 7) Six Sigma template 8) Share a diagram in a browser In this way there many new features that makes Visio 2010 better than its previous version.
2010 is better as it’s the upgraded version, but to start with 2003 and 2007 and not that bad.They would give you better hands on practice while drawing your flow diagrams or figures.Without features things won’t be that easy, but fundamentals about usage could be learned. Note: Always have some experience on the older versions even if you use the new ones, because some organizations don’t upgrade things and if you are recruited in one of those, things might be difficult.
