Which Vermont Veterans Are Eligible for Honorary High School Diplomas?
In order to qualify for the High School Diplomas for WWII, Korean, and Vietnam Veterans program, you must: • Have served in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II, the Korea War, or the Vietnam War. • Be a resident of Vermont. (Similar programs exist in other states. Contact your local veterans affairs office for more information.) • Have not already completed a high school degree. Vermont veterans who have GED certification may still be eligible for an honorary diploma. In some cases, it may be possible for surviving family members to posthumously apply to the High School Diplomas for WWII, Korean, and Vietnam Veterans program on behalf of a deceased veteran.
