Which Vegas hotel is better: MGM Grand or Mandaley Bay?
Mandalay Bay is better. It has a beach with sand and waves and a place where you can ride rafts on a lazy river. It is the best “beach” in Las Vegas. As someone pointed out, Shark Reef is there. There is a mall that connects Mandalay Bay with Luxor called Mandalay Place. Luxor has the Bodies Exhibit and the Titanic Exhibit and other activities in the Atrium. There is a free tram that goes from Mandalay Bay to the Excalibur which is on the same corner as New York New York, MGM Grand and the Tropicana so the argument that Mandalay Bay is further away is not a reason to stay at the MGM Grand instead. Both Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand have large venues for concerts by top artists. MGM is known more for boxing and other fights. MGM Grand is nice but given a choice, I would take Mandalay Bay any day. For even more luxury, you can stay at THEHotel or the Four Seasons, both on the Mandalay Bay property.
