Which university(US or UK) has the most prestigious LLM degree in Intellectual Property Rights?
In the UK, the most valued qualification for IP practitioners is the post-graduate diploma in IP law, now run by Oxford University and previously run by Bristol University. This diploma was created and is largely taught by practitioners who are members of the Intellectual Property Lawyers Association. Most junior practitioners in specialist IP departments of law firms attend this course. For LLMs in the UK taken immediately after a law degree, various colleges of London University offer them, eg UCL, KCL and QMUL. These seem to be more popular than rival courses at Oxford and Cambridge, and are offered by world-class universities (UCL being one of the world’s top 10 alongside Oxford and Cambridge).
