Which UK banks have UK call centres?
I’d be interested to find out. I work in a UK bank call centre, but my bank also has a centre in Mumbai. Also, some banks may not have their call centres in India, but may have outsourced some processing work there. One thing I object to about Natwest though is the way they appear to suggest through their advertising that you can speak directly to the branch. Customers may have the branch number, but if the call isn’t answered in a certain number of rings (it usually isn’t) then the call still goes to a call centre. The best way to find out from your bank is to ask them directly if any work is undertaken in outsourced centres. Just because you happen to get through to a UK centre, doesn’t mean your bank doesn’t have one.
