Which type or maker of DVD drive is good to watch movies in my computer?
I have a BENQ in my AMD ATHLON and a liteon in my pentium. The BENQ is still going strong and in its second computer and has done heaps of reading and burning. The liteon is pretty much as good but it is now sometimes not even able to read the disc even though i have done a laser Lens clean. I don’t usually watch the dvds on my computer as i prefer to be on the big screen but i copy my bought movies to preserve the originals in case of scratching and i have no problems encoding and copying these discs that have four movies on them but when i burn them i often have to use the double layer blanks as the normal ones are not big enough.Are you able to watch one of the movies -or doesn’t it accept the disc at all ??.
It’s not the software you are using. You probably need a dual-layer capable DVD drive. Any brand will be fine. I’ve been using LiteOn for quite a while already. http://us.liteonit.
