Which type of canvas would be best to order. The matte or the gloss?
Both matte canvas and gloss canvas are excellent options for either photo or art. Overall, the matte tends to more popular, but does not handle a protective finish as transparently as the gloss. Also, without a finish the gloss is more of a satin gloss canvas versus a high gloss. If you choose Matte canvas, your image file should be adjusted accordingly. Some find that a matte surface tends to dampen contrast levels, whereas the gloss canvas gives it a little more ‘pop’.
